Qoyod integration

Connect Qoyod from Bookkeeping → Integrations → Qoyod using your business API key. Import invoices and optionally accept MakePay payments against them. MakePay does not require a registered Qoyod OAuth app.

Connect a business

1. Open the intended business in Qoyod and generate its API key in General Settings. See the official Qoyod API documentation.
2. Select Connect, enter the key and select Check API key.
3. Enter the business name and choose its accounting currency. Check these in Qoyod before confirming: the public API does not return a business profile or invoice currency. MakePay records your confirmation; it cannot independently detect these values.
4. Choose an active receiving or clearing asset account if you want payment recording. The account must accept receipts in Qoyod.
5. Save the connection. Invoice import starts enabled. Payment recording and notifications start disabled. Credentials are encrypted and never returned in the connection summary.

An API key identifies one connection. To connect another key, disconnect first. A new key creates a separate connection because the public API does not provide a stable business identifier. Reconnect the original key to recover its original invoice links and history. The confirmed accounting currency cannot change for that key.

Invoice payments

Enable Accept and record MakePay invoice payments, then open an imported invoice's MakePay payment link to share it with your customer. The link is also available in the main Invoices list.

Checkout reads the live invoice status, customer and balance, and checks your receiving account. Draft and fully paid invoices cannot accept new payments. Changed invoices pause previously issued checkout links when detected during sync. Checkout verifies the current invoice again before creating a new link.

Only a confirmed MakePay settlement can create a Qoyod receipt. Demo or sandbox sessions, manually adjusted settlements, mismatched currencies and values, and multiple completed checkouts require review. Browser redirects cannot mark an invoice paid.

The receipt uses the selected account, the confirmed accounting currency and a unique stored reference. MakePay verifies the resulting customer, account, amount, date and exact invoice allocation. Recording can affect your Qoyod ledger. Amounts must be positive and have at most two decimal places. No currency conversion or stablecoin exchange rate is inferred.

Sync and recovery

Sync scans invoice IDs in ascending order using Qoyod's documented search filters. A short page does not end the scan; only an empty page does. Subsequent scans revisit existing invoices to detect payment and balance changes. Sync runs in batches about every five minutes, and Sync loads another batch. The panel displays the most recent 100 imported invoices. Large businesses may need multiple batches before a full scan completes.

Notifications for recorded payments and sync problems are optional, in-app and deduplicated.

If a payment request times out, MakePay searches Qoyod for its stored unique reference. A matching receipt is verified and recovered. If the result remains unknown, another receipt is not automatically created. Check Qoyod for the reference displayed in the error before retrying or creating records manually.

Disabling payment recording pauses unpaid checkout links. Already completed settlements still require reconciliation. Disconnecting also pauses unpaid links and requires completed payments to be reviewed first.

Connection limits

This connection supports importing existing invoices and recording confirmed checkout payments. Qoyod's documented invoice resource has no update endpoint, so MakePay does not insert payment links into existing invoice notes. Share links from MakePay instead.

Wallet expense exports, supporting-file uploads, invoice matching from wallet transfers, and automatic invoice creation are unavailable through this connection. Those options are not enabled by connecting Qoyod. Wafeq has its own configurable wallet and receipt workflows.

Local protocol and recovery tests use fixtures. A live Qoyod business test requires your business API key; fixture results do not prove a live account round trip.
